Caring for Full-Grain Leather

Full-grain leather is left intentionally unfinished when it leaves our tannery, which means it is more responsive to care than more heavily treated hides — and more rewarding to maintain.

Condition twice yearly with a natural, wax-based conditioner, applied sparingly and buffed to a soft sheen. Avoid direct sun and prolonged heat, which dry the hide from the inside.

Rain is not the enemy it's assumed to be — full-grain leather can tolerate a light shower. Standing water is another matter; blot immediately and allow to air dry away from direct heat.

Treated this way, a piece from the Leather Maison will not simply last. It will improve.
