The Perfumer's Notebook: Composing Number 12
Forty-three revisions, twelve months, one final accord.

Every fragrance in the Atelier begins as a written brief rather than a formula — a mood, a memory, a room we're trying to recreate rather than a scent we're trying to name.
Number 12 began as a single line: 'a fragrance felt before it's noticed.' Twelve months and forty-three revisions later, that line still describes it precisely.
The final composition rests on a Mysore-style sandalwood accord, grounded by smoked Haitian vetiver — a pairing our perfumer returned to after eight failed alternatives.
It remains part of our Private Collection, produced in small, deliberately limited batches.
